Therapists can enter the patient’s email address and set a password in the patient details.
Share the email and password with your patient in order to start the training at home.
A detailed guide is available on the HeadApp Home page.
Der Patient findet seine ID (4-stelliger Code aus Ziffern und Buchstaben) oben im Fenster zur Auswahl der Trainingsprogramme.
In this case, patients already have their own HeadApp login.
Therapists can establish a connection by clicking the Add Email button in the patient overview section. This requires the patient’s email address and their unique patient ID.
⚠️ Note: The patient ID is not their password. Patients can find their ID (a 4-character code consisting of numbers and letters) at the top of the window where training programs are selected.
Example:
This allows therapists to link to existing accounts seamlessly.
Another option for conducting supervised yet independent training is self-guided training.
In this setup, patients use a device provided by the therapist (e.g. an iPad) to train outside of therapy sessions.
The patient is registered by the therapist in HeadApp but uses the 4-digit ID to log in independently on the facility’s devices.
Therapists determine how independently patients should work during supervised training.
Regardless of the supervision-level chosen, all training results are automatically transmitted to the therapist and can be analyzed as part of the therapy progress.
If no specifications are set, patients can work independently. They decide which therapy programs to use and when to use them.
Therapists determine which therapy programs should be used. The patients decide when and how long to train.
The selection is made in the Patient Data window, where the option to Limit access to modules can be chosen. Once selected, the Modules button appears.
By clicking this button, therapists can specify which modules are allowed or restricted.
A therapy plan allows therapists to define exactly when, for how long, and in what sequence patients should use the therapy programs.
The individual therapy programs vary significantly in their settings (parameters). Each program can be specifically tailored to the patient.
Therapists can adjust the settings by clicking on the individual program. After making changes, therapists can click Save to apply the adjustments for the patient’s home training.
Therapists can determine whether patients are allowed to modify settings (parameters) for their training programs at home. This restriction is set in the Patient Data window, using the option Patient is allowed to change parameters.
If patients are to work according to a therapy plan, click on Therapy Plan at the bottom of the therapy program selection window. The planning window will appear.
In the central area, the calendar is displayed, showing the entire month, which can be changed using the arrow on the left side of the calendar.
Each day can contain up to 5 entries, meaning up to 5 training programs can be completed on any given day.
Past days are shaded in gray and cannot be edited. The individual icons of past training sessions provide information on how long and with what intensity the patient has trained.
The green bar indicates how long the patient has trained, while the yellow bar shows the activity level of the training. (The height of the bars is relative to the other trainings on that day. Therefore, the icon does not provide an absolute value, but it gives an indication of how long and intensively the patient has practiced.)
Entries are added to the calendar via drag and drop. Simply drag an icon from the module list (on the right) into the calendar.
In the module list, programs recommended by a screening are sorted at the top and highlighted in color.
By clicking on an icon, a training duration can be set. The selected duration will be preconfigured for all modules dragged into the calendar.
By clicking on an entry, a menu appears. This menu shows which training the entry represents and offers additional options:
Additionally, clicking on an icon will open the main settings on the right.
